Gertrude Street Projection Festival 2010

My weekend was spent walking through the Gertrude Street Projection Festival. It was actually fun and nice to see lights/screen projections and wonder where it was all projected/coming from. Kinda awesome.

I spotted shadows of hopping kangaroos, pelicans that turned human and curious hippies jumping around, having fun with their own shadows..

But I guess it would be kinda creepy if there wasn’t any onlookers around. Is that why the projections are on only until midnight? Ha.

And I even spotted Pikachu ピカチュウ !

State of Design: Victoria’s Design Festival is also on this weekend.. Lots to see and definitely an inspiring week ahead!

The Toostie Pop Series came to life during Lim’s creation of the “Grocery Store Series”. Using iconic food labels and brand names, Lim explored the idea of basic childhood pleasures and memories while being strolled through the grocery store with his mother.
