The Higashiyama District 東山区 is defnitely a great place to experience traditional old Kyoto. We started of at the Kiyomizudera Temple 音羽山清水寺, walked through the preserved historic streets and down the Sannenzaka 三年坂 and Ninenzaka 二年坂 steps. It was amazing.

Whilst I was exploring Arashiyama 嵐山 , I walked passed a street and spotted signage of a little boy from a distance. Somehow I walked right in and was delighted to find a cute little pre school with Anpanman アンパンマン on the gates. How adorable.
